Experiential Marketing

StrategyInteraction

Planned campaigns become live experiences customers can respond to in person.

01The Work

What this actually is.

Experiential work gives a customer something to do rather than something to watch. The value is in the response: what they touch, what they ask, what they tell a friend on the way out.

We design activations backwards from the interaction we want to be possible, then build the staffing, layout and follow-up that make it repeatable across days and locations instead of once for the photos.

02How We Do It

Four things that make it repeatable.

  1. 01

    Define the interaction

Before layout or signage, we name the single thing a customer should be able to do — try, compare, sign up, ask.

  2. 02

    Build for repetition

Setup, staffing ratios and reset time are specified so the tenth hour of an activation works like the first.

  3. 03

    Staff to the moment

Representatives are matched to the environment and briefed on how a conversation opens in that specific setting.

  4. 04

    Capture the response

Interactions, sign-ups and verbatim reactions are recorded on site, so the activation produces data as well as impressions.

03In The Field

An activation built around one action

For a client whose product needed to be handled to be understood, we cut the setup down to a single try-it station, staffed it for peak hours across multiple Austin locations, and logged every completed trial — so the campaign's central claim was tested by customers rather than asserted at them.
